Valentines Day is not dead
Now more than ever we all need to Love and Celebrate Love
— Philo Newton

With the lockdown in London still in placed much of the world closed, February 14 is going to look a little different for many this year. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t do something a little different to show some appreciation for your loved one.

There are so many options still open to you whether you will be spending this Valentines day with your loved one or if you want to do a little something special for yourself (because self-love is equally as important and Singles Awareness Day is the day after anyway), here are some ideas to help you not only celebrate but to also break the sameness that comes with lockdown.

Breakfast in Bed

Breakfast is a BIG deal any other day day but on Valentines day? The options are endless. You can treat yourselves to a romantic section of your favourite pastries, full English or selection of fruits. Whats important is to plan ahead, order what needs to be ordered and prep as much beforehand as possible! that way you have more time relaxing and less time in the kitchen.

Set the scene

With Lockdown seeming to drag on for what feels like forever and our homes basically turning from our haven to now being a school, office and basically the place where everything takes place. Set the scene this valentines day, declutter what’s needed and transport yourself to wherever you want to be. I love working with lighting, creating zones and setting areas in my home for specific activities. Adding music is also a great way to set the scene. Songs are like timestamps, marking a time, moment, or memory in our lives. why not make a Spotify playlist of your favourite songs and have it playing all day? have a sing along, concert or just as background music to uplift you both and get you in the mood.

Fine Dine at Home

A great way to celebrate is to set the scene in your home. The Team at EBP London are bringing everything right to your home ready for you to enjoy. Why sit on the sofa for dinner or the same dining table you have been working on all week when you can transport yourselves to your favourite restaurant? The Indulgence box comes equipped with everything from Fresh Flowers ( you get to keep them so the beauty continues) crockery and glassware. Together with the scene set, lights low and the magic of candlelight, you are bound to have a valentines day like no other!

All that is left is for you to order your favourite meal and plate up!

Dress Up

Just because you're spending Valentine's Day at home, it doesn't mean that you can't play dress-up. Take the at home celebration as seriously s any other date and go all out with hair, make up and dress up. Dressing up will be a nice welcome from what we have all become accustomed to with lockdown looks ( I for one have been living in nothing but loungewear for 9 months)

So get your favourite perfume on, make up and go all out!
