Host the best Christmas

Host the best Christmas

I have been hosting for a number of years and have found that there are several things that set a good host from a great host when it comes to Christmas dinner. Here are a few things to consider this Christmas:

  • A large and comfortable space for guests to gather, such as a dining room or living room

  • Enough seating for all guests, including chairs, sofas, or benches

  • A table and place settings for each guest, including plates, utensils, glasses, and napkins

  • A large and sturdy table for the main meal, with enough space for all the dishes and serving ware

  • A menu of dishes and drinks that are appropriate for the occasion and the guests' preferences

  • All the ingredients and supplies needed to prepare and serve the food, such as pots, pans, serving dishes, and utensils

  • Decorations, such as a Christmas tree, lights, and festive centerpieces, to create a warm and inviting atmosphere

  • Music or other background noise to create a pleasant atmosphere

  • A plan for serving the food, including timing and pacing, to ensure that the meal is served hot and fresh

  • A plan for cleaning up after the meal, including who will do the dishes and tidy up the space

In addition to these essentials, you may also want to consider providing other items or services, such as entertainment or activities, and assistance with transportation or accommodation for guests. The level of detail needed will depend on how many people you will be hosting and the level of detail you wish to go into. Think of your personal style and let that work as a guide for you.
